Day 50: Dunedin to Taieri Mouth
April 24th 2014
Distance cycled: 30 km
Total distance to date: 2950 km
It took me a while to leave Dunedin, as I really enjoyed hanging out with Tod and Canadian Kyla. But I finally dragged myself out at around 1pm and made my way to the southwest borders of the city.
The route skirted along the coast, through a small suburb called Brighton (are all Brightons coastal?) and up and down some major hills.
I made it to my resting place for the night, a place called Taieri Mouth. The name comes from the Taieri River, which joins the sea here.
The lady running the campsite was named Paula.
